Is it time for Fully lined/Thermal Drapes?

About 10-15% of your house heat is lost through your windows; in most cases well made thermal drapes are the answer to this problem. The thicker the fabric the better, it not only keeps in heat but also restricts light – great for children’s bedrooms and the lounge. Most of the warmth is lost around the edges so make sure they extended at least 150mm either side.

I was personally amazed at the differenced in my house especially around my large bay windows. After the fire has been on for a couple of hours it still feels nice and warm around the windows and I cannot feel any drafts.

Tip of the day – Remember to close the doors to any rooms you are not using to save on your heating bill.
